Pilates & Body Conditioning

A fantastic class that will increase your strength and overall range of motion to aid any sporting activity or dance form.  Pilates is an exercise that focuses on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility to help prevent injury.  It involves a series of controlled movements that engage both in your body and mind.  The class consists of dance related stretches going into a series of exercises done on a mat in either a siting or lying down position.  The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility.  The outcome of Pilates training is a balanced body that is strong and supple, strong abdominal muscles, balanced legs and a strong supportive back.
