Level 1&2

Level 1

Fundamentals and basic technique will always be reviewed and stressed in this program with continual development of dance movement vocabulary and longer combinations at the barre and center practice. Travelling and linking steps together along with pirouettes from a travelling preparation will be taught along with progressive allegro work carry the student into simple grand allegro ballet movements. Review and drilling of allegro will be the strongly focused to move the student forward to the next level where you can combine the allegro work together and start to feel more confident. Refining posture placement and understanding the use of major and micro muscles will be emphasized to maximize your bodies potential. Musicality will also be an important focus for this level to understand the how to use the music to help you dance classical ballet with lyrical qualities and ease of movement to advance your studies. Note: Pointe Level 1 follows or proceeds this class for those who are technically ready. This class is also good for the more Intermediate dancer to take a slightly slower pace to break down movement and to focus on clean and pure technique.

Level 2

An elementary & intermediate class that provides a good basic classical workout from a full barre warm up, well rounded center practice of tendues, pirouettes, adage, petite allegro, complex medium allegro and grand allegro combinations. Student can feel they can take their technique and basic foundation and combine their steps with lyrical classical qualities. Artistry and understanding the use of micro muscles and major muscle groups will be emphasized with clear ballet technique.

This class is suitable for those that have a good physical knowledge and technical skill of classical ballet technique.
